Electromagnetic spring-applied brake for servo motors. The brake can be mounted to the A-face or B-face end shield inside the motor. The braking action is generated by compression springs. To neutralize it the electromagnetic principle involving generation of a magnetic field is applied.
The Elevation Line is primarily used for elevators, but can be used wherever the brake must meet demanding safety requirements. Electromagnetic spring-pressure brakes build up the braking torque when the current is switched off.
DC spring-pressure single-disc and multi-disc brakes build up the braking torque when the current is switched off and the electromagnetic force is therefore neutralized. The brake can also be equipped with an optional hand release to allow the brake to be released manually.
In spring-pressure brakes with explosion protection, those parts which might ignite explosive mixtures are incorporated in a housing. Electromagnetic spring-pressure brakes build up the braking torque when the current is switched off.
Spring-pressure single-disc brake modules for direct current which can be mounted as additional modules to a fully assembled motor – preferably to end shield A. Therefore, the Module Line has an own bearing-mounted output shaft.
