    High Speed, Long Life, and Complete Control Direct Drive Linear Motors

    A LinMot linear motor consists of two parts, a slider and a stator. Without the use of belts, screws, cams or gears, LinMot linear motors have an expected operating life of up to 2 billion cycles when properly applied. Now available in standard and stainless options, LinMot motors offer complete control on the basis of force, speed, trajectory and position.

    A LinMot linear motor features a simplistic design ideal for rugged applications like food packaging equipment and linear motor material handling systems where higher speed, longer service life and increased control are desired. Our stainless steel linear motors feature sealed, stainless steel motor casings and an IPK69 protection rating suitable for food and pharmaceutical applications and other harsh industrial environments where chemicals are used. We offer over 300 standard linear motor specifications, available in 15 different configurations. The module design makes custom designed linear motors feasible, even in moderate quantities.

    The recently introduced LinMot P10-70 motor series extends the product range with larger and more powerful actuators producing up to 560 lbs of peak force. Five different motor sizes from 112 lb to 560 lb cover a wide range of high power applications under heavy loads. The motors are controlled by the new E1400 Series Servo Drives with fieldbus and industrial Ethernet Interfaces. The E1400 drives are directly powered from the AC mains with a 3×340…480VAC input range.

Either independent or synchronized motion is achieved by combining individually controlled linear and rotary servo motors. The LinMot PR01 series of actuators feature both linear force and rotary torque control and are designed to be used in complex motion tasks such as screwing, tapping, aligning or stacking and are ideal for use in bottle capping applications.

GUIDED ACTUATORS

    The LinMot F01-37S and F01-48 guides are moving stator applications with tubular linear motors. The mechanical design is based on a special aluminum profile on which a high precision profile rail guide is attached. Use of ball bearings in the carriages guarantee a reliable and smooth operation. The design of both guides is very similar but different in the dimensions.
    F-guides can be mounted together into a gantry design without any additional adapters. It is also possible to run more than one motor on the same guide. There are two sizes of motors available for each size of F-guide; the PS01-37Sx60 offers highest velocity on a very short design while the PS01- 37Sx120 presents double the peak force with an additional 60mm length. The motors of the PS01-48 series offers a peek force up to 1000 N (250 lbf).
    Together with the H01 guides for the vertical axis and the linear rotary motors of the PR01-52 series the F-guides offer a powerful toolbox for any automation task.

    Series H01 Guided Actuators are compact guide units with integrated ball bearings or plain bushings, for operating LinMot P01 linear motors with standard or heavy duty sliders.

    H01 Linear Guides are used as load bearings, to resist external forces and rotational and bending moments, and as an anti-rotation device. They provide high-precision guidance and allow dynamic and precise positioning of the load.

    The load is mounted directly to the front plate of the linear guide. Mechanical dimensions and mounting options are compatible with pneumatic linear guides. The modular design allows simple addition of accessories, such as a mechanical brake or magnetic spring, for load balancing in vertical applications.

    Series B01 bridge guides are compact guide units with integrated ball bearings or plain bushing, for operating LinMot P01 linear motors with high-clearance sliders. The rear end plate increases the mechanical stiffness of the bridge guide.

    Bridge Guides are used as load bearings, to resist external forces and rotational and bending moments, and as an anti-rotation device. They provide high-precision guidance and allow dynamic and precise positioning of the load.

    The load is mounted directly to the front plate of the linear guide. Mechanical dimensions and mounting options are compatible with pneumatic linear guides. MAGSPRINGS

  • MAGSPRINGS

    MagSpring products can best be described as “magnetic springs”. The term “spring”, however, is to be understood to mean that MagSpring components generate a constant force over their entire working range, while the characteristic curve for a typical mechanical spring shows an increase in force with increasing displacement. The generation of force that is independent of the stroke makes MagSprings preferable for balancing weight forces in vertical drive applications.

    Mode of Operation

    The mode of operation is based on the attractive force of permanent magnets. Accordingly, no energy source (electricity, compressed air, etc.) is needed, so that safety-related applications can also be addressed. The special design of the flow-guiding components and the magnets translates the strongly non-linear relationship between force and displacement in magnet-iron arrangements into a constant force curve. Depending on the strength class of the MagSpring, the permanent magnets are either in the stator, in the slider, or in both components. The slider is guided by an integrated plain bearing, so that MagSprings can be used comparably to gas pressure spring in a design.
